About the Board

The Northside Recreation Area Joint Advisory Board’s primary purpose is to plan and coordinate joint use of the Northside Recreation Area as set forth in Chapter 26 of the Denison, Iowa Code of Ordinances. The board is comprised of five members having terms of office of two years (City and School) and three years (Citizen).  The Mayor shall appoint two members with the approval of the Council.  The Denison Community School District Board shall appoint two members.  The four members thus appointed shall select the fifth member of the board.
